Your Own Private SkyBlock Server

SkyBlock is the classic Minecraft challenge: start on a tiny floating island with almost nothing, and grow it into a sky empire. With SNT Gaming you get your own private SkyBlock kingdom for your friends, no strangers, no queues, no lag from a giant public server.

🎮 You don't need to type any commands to play, just walk into the portal and click. Everything is set up for you. The commands below are optional extras, mostly for parents and older players.

What is SkyBlock?

For players: you spawn on a tiny floating island in the sky with almost nothing, a little dirt, one tree, and a chest of starter items. The challenge is to survive and grow that speck of land into a huge sky kingdom using only what you can make from what you have. No mining down into a normal world: everything you build, you build from the island.

For parents: SkyBlock is a calm, cooperative building puzzle. There is no required fighting, the fun is problem-solving, farming and expanding an island together. It rewards patience and planning, so it suits kids who enjoy progression and building, and it is a great first "goal-based" mode for beginners.

How to start playing (your first 10 minutes)

1. Open Minecraft (Java or Bedrock) and join your SNT Gaming server.
2. You arrive in the lobby. Walk into the SkyBlock portal.
3. That is it: the server places you straight onto your own island, ready to play. No typing needed.
4. Read the welcome messages and check your starter chest. Do not throw anything into the void.
5. Plant and grow the tree first, because wood is your most precious early resource.
6. Build a cobblestone generator (see below) so you never run out of stone.
7. Want to build with friends? An adult can add them from the parent panel, and older players can also use the optional /is team invite command (see the command guide below).

How SkyBlock works

• Limited resources: you only have what is on the island, so waste nothing early on.
• Cobblestone generator: place lava and water next to each other and they make cobblestone you can mine forever, this is the heart of SkyBlock.
• Expand carefully: use cobblestone to widen the island, then add farms for food and trees for wood.
• Food and storage: plant your seeds, build a small farm, and set up chests so nothing is lost.
• Grow into a kingdom: from a few blocks you slowly build houses, farms, redstone and a whole floating base.

SkyBlock command guide

On your SkyBlock world the island command is /island, which you can shorten to /is. Commands work the same on Java and Bedrock (Bedrock players type them in chat).

Stuck anywhere? /lobby takes you back to the lobby, and the return-to-lobby compass in your hotbar does the same with a right-click.

Best tips for beginners

• Grow your tree before anything else, you cannot make tools without wood.
• Build the cobblestone generator early so stone is never a problem.
• Never stand at the island edge while placing blocks; falling into the void loses your items.
• Make a chest straight away and store spare items so nothing is wasted.
• Plant every seed you get, food keeps you alive while you build.
• If you get stuck or fall, use /is go to teleport home.

Better with friends

SkyBlock is at its best as a team. Invite friends with /is team invite and split the jobs: one farms, one mines the generator, one builds. Share a single island to pool resources, or race friends on separate islands and compare who grows fastest. Set little goals together, first automatic farm, first big house, first trip to the nether, and celebrate each one. It becomes your group's shared build, not a stranger's server.

Notes for parents

SkyBlock is cooperative and creative: your child plans, farms and builds an island, usually with friends on a private, friends-only whitelist. There is no required combat and no strangers. A parent completes the PayPal checkout and controls who is allowed in. It is beginner-friendly and rewards patience, making it a calm alternative to busy public servers. Troubleshooting

• I can't join the server: check you're on the friends-only whitelist and using the exact Java or Bedrock address from your welcome email.
• The SkyBlock portal doesn't work: stand fully inside it for a second; if nothing happens, type /lobby and try again.
• I can't find my island: type /is go to teleport straight home.
• My friend can't join my island: make sure you sent /is team invite <name> and they typed /is team accept.
• I fell into the void and lost items: items lost in the void can't be recovered, build a wall around the edge to prevent it.
• I'm stuck: /lobby or the hotbar compass always gets you back.
