Minecraft Rivals Server, Red vs Blue Team Battle Arena

Rivals is a fast red-vs-blue team battle arena where you grab a sword and bow, wear your team color, and fight to knock the other team off the edge or be the last team standing. Grab the glowing upgrade orbs, watch the live score, and jump straight into the next round.

🎮 You don't need to type any commands to play, just walk into the portal and click. Everything is set up for you. The commands below are optional extras, mostly for parents and older players.

What is Rivals?

For players: Rivals is a quick, high-energy team fight. You're on RED or BLUE, you get a sword and a bow, and your job is simple: knock the other team off the edge or be the last team standing. Every 15 seconds a glowing upgrade orb pops up, walk into it and both your weapon and armor jump up a tier. Rounds are short, the score is live, and rematches start instantly, so there's always another chance to win.

For parents: Rivals is a friendly competitive mini-game with no chat with strangers, it runs on your family's private, friends-only server. Matches are short (great for shorter play sessions), the goal is arena combat with no gore, and eliminated players simply spectate until the next round instead of waiting around. It suits kids who love action and a bit of team rivalry, and it's easy to pick up for beginners.

How to start playing (your first minutes)

  1. Open Minecraft on your device: Java Edition (PC or Mac) or Bedrock Edition (console, phone, tablet, Windows).
  2. Connect to your SNT Gaming server address and load into the lobby, Shoham's Kingdom.
  3. From the lobby, walk into the Rivals portal to enter the arena.
  4. That is it: you are put into the next match automatically and placed on RED or BLUE with a sword and bow. No typing needed.
  5. Wait for the match to start, then fight: knock rivals off the edge and grab every glowing upgrade orb you can.
  6. Invite your friends to join the same server so you can stack a team together and rematch as a group.

Best tips for beginners

Better with friends

Rivals is built for friend groups. Split onto the same team and you can cover each other, focus fire the same rival, and call out where the next orb is landing, or split across RED and BLUE for a proper grudge match. Because rounds are short and rematches are instant, you can run best-of-many series, take turns captaining a team, and settle who's really the champion. The teamwork, the trash talk, and the comebacks are exactly what makes a private server with your friends so fun.

Notes for parents

In Rivals your child plays quick team-vs-team arena matches: they pick up a sword and bow, collect upgrade orbs, and try to knock the other team off the edge or outlast them. It's both cooperative (working with teammates) and competitive (RED vs BLUE), and it's very beginner-friendly, controls are simple and each round is short. Safety is built in: the server is a private, friends-only whitelist, so your child only ever plays with people you approve, and eliminated players just spectate until the next round rather than being locked out. A parent completes the secure checkout to set up the server. Learn more about our Minecraft server for kids and our server for friends.

What is Minecraft Rivals?

Rivals is a fast red-vs-blue team battle arena. You get a sword and bow, wear your team color, and win by knocking the other team off the edge or being the last team standing. It's powered by the SNTRivals plugin on your private SNT Gaming server.

How do I join a Rivals match?

From the lobby (Shoham's Kingdom), walk into the Rivals portal and type /rivals join. You'll be placed on RED or BLUE, given a sword and bow, and dropped into the next match.

What do the glowing upgrade orbs do?

Every 15 seconds a glowing orb appears in the arena. Walk into it to bump both your weapons and armor up a tier, gear climbs wood to stone to iron to diamond to netherite, and your bow upgrades to crossbow, then gun, then mega gun.

What happens when I get knocked out?

Nothing scary, eliminated players just spectate until the next round starts. There's no penalty and no long wait, which keeps Rivals kid-friendly and fast-paced.

How long does a round last?

Rounds are short and rematches start almost instantly, so you can play many quick matches back to back instead of waiting around between games.

Is Rivals safe for kids?

Yes. Your server uses a private, friends-only whitelist, so your child only plays with people you approve, never strangers. Eliminated players simply spectate, and a parent completes the secure checkout to set up the server.

Can I play Rivals on Bedrock and Java?

Yes. SNT Gaming servers support both Java Edition (PC/Mac) and Bedrock Edition (console, phone, tablet, Windows), so friends can join from almost any device.

How do I check the score during a match?

Type /rivals status at any time to see the current match status and live score, so you know which team is ahead and whether to play safe or push.
