Your Own Private OneBlock World
OneBlock is the addictive Minecraft mode where you stand on a single magic block that keeps regenerating into new blocks, mobs and treasure as you mine it. With SNT Gaming you get your own private OneBlock world to play through with friends, the perfect "what's next?" adventure.
🎮 You don't need to type any commands to play, just walk into the portal and click. Everything is set up for you. The commands below are optional extras, mostly for parents and older players.
What is OneBlock?
For players: you stand on one single magic block floating in the sky. Break it, and it instantly becomes a new block, again and again, forever. As your block count rises you move through phases: plains, then underground, then the ocean, the nether, and beyond. Each phase changes what the block turns into, from dirt and wood to ores, mobs and treasure. From that one block you build a whole island.
For parents: OneBlock is a calm, addictive "just one more block" mining adventure. There is no required combat and no strangers, it is easy to pick up for younger players and perfect for short after-school sessions, while still rewarding long-term progress.
How to start playing (your first 10 minutes)
- Open Minecraft (Java or Bedrock) and join your SNT Gaming server.
- From the lobby, walk into the OneBlock portal.
- That is it: the server drops you straight onto your OneBlock island, ready to play. No typing needed.
- Start breaking the magic block. A new block appears every time, so collect everything.
- Build a small safe platform around the block so you never fall into the void.
- A boss bar and progress bar show your block count and phase as you mine.
- Want to play with friends? An adult can add them from the parent panel, and older players can also use the optional
/ob team invitecommand (see the command guide below).
How OneBlock works
- One endless block: there is no cobblestone generator and no digging down, everything comes from breaking the single magic block.
- Phases: as your block count grows the world theme changes (plains → underground → ocean → nether → and on). Track it with
/ob count. - Surprises: the block can turn into ores, chests, or even mobs, so stay ready.
- Build outward: use what you mine to expand a platform and island around the block.
- Never-ending: the block always respawns, so there is always a next goal.
OneBlock command guide
On your OneBlock world the island command is /ob (you can also type /oneblock). Note: unlike SkyBlock, /is does not work here, OneBlock uses /ob. Commands are the same on Java and Bedrock.
| Command | What it does | Who |
|---|---|---|
/ob | Open your OneBlock island (creates one the first time) | Player |
/ob go | Teleport back to your island | Player |
/ob spawn | Teleport to the server spawn | Player |
/ob count | Show your block count and current phase | Player |
/ob bossbar | Toggle the phase-progress boss bar | Player |
/ob actionbar | Toggle the phase-progress action bar | Player |
/ob respawnBlock | Bring the magic block back if it ever disappears | Player |
/ob sethome | Set your teleport point on the island | Island member |
/ob settings | Open the island protection settings menu | Player |
/ob team invite <name> | Invite a friend to your island | Island owner |
/ob team accept | Accept an invite to a friend's island | Player |
/ob team kick <name> | Remove a member from your team | Island owner |
/ob reset | Delete your island and start over (careful!) | Player |
Stuck? /lobby or the return-to-lobby compass in your hotbar takes you back at any time.
Best tips for beginners
- Build a platform around the magic block early so you never fall into the void.
- Pick up every drop, early blocks are how you get your first tools and food.
- Watch
/ob countto see how close you are to the next phase. - Be ready for mobs: sometimes the block becomes a monster, so keep a sword handy.
- Make a chest to store spare loot instead of losing it.
- If the block ever vanishes, use
/ob respawnBlock.
Better with friends
OneBlock is a blast as a team. Invite friends with /ob team invite and share one island, take turns mining the block, and split the loot to build faster. Or race on separate islands and see who reaches the nether phase first. Set shared goals like "reach phase 3 tonight" and cheer each new phase together. It is your group's private run, at your own pace.
Notes for parents
OneBlock is a gentle, repetitive mining game, great for focus and a sense of steady progress. Your child mines one block to unlock new phases, usually with friends on a private, friends-only whitelist, with no strangers and no required fighting. A parent completes the PayPal checkout and controls the whitelist. It is very beginner-friendly. See our Minecraft server for kids and server for friends pages.
Troubleshooting
- I can't join the server: check you're on the friends-only whitelist and using the exact Java or Bedrock address from your welcome email.
- The OneBlock portal doesn't work: stand fully inside it; if nothing happens, type
/lobbyand try again. - My magic block disappeared: type
/ob respawnBlockto bring it back. - I can't find my island: type
/ob goto teleport home. - My friend can't join my island: make sure you used
/ob team invite <name>and they typed/ob team accept. - /is doesn't work: that's normal, OneBlock uses
/ob, not/is.
Launch your OneBlock world
Ready to mine one block into a whole kingdom with your friends? Start a private, managed OneBlock server in minutes, Java and Bedrock, friends only. Want a floating-island survival twist instead? Try SkyBlock, or get a fully private kingdom with every mode.
What is OneBlock?
You start on a single magic block that regenerates infinitely into new blocks, mobs and rewards as you mine it, advancing through themed phases.
Is OneBlock the same as SkyBlock?
They're cousins. SkyBlock gives you a small island to expand with a cobblestone generator; OneBlock gives you one endless magic block that changes as you mine. On OneBlock the command is /ob, not /is.
How do I see my progress?
Type /ob count to see your block count and current phase; you can also toggle a progress boss bar with /ob bossbar.
Can friends on different devices play?
Yes, Java and Bedrock crossplay means PC, console, phone and tablet players all join the same world.
How do I invite a friend?
Type /ob team invite followed by their name; they accept with /ob team accept and can then mine your island with you.
Is it kid-friendly?
Very. It's a calm, addictive mining adventure with no required combat, on a private friends-only server.
What if my block disappears?
Use /ob respawnBlock to bring the magic block back instantly.
How fast is it ready?
Minutes. After checkout we set up your kingdom and send you the Java and Bedrock connection details.
