Your Own Private Build Battle Server

Build Battle is the friendly building contest: everyone gets the same theme, their own plot, and a timer - build your best, then vote on each other's creations. With SNT Gaming your friend group gets a private arena where the only weapon is imagination.

🎮 You don't need to type any commands to play, just walk into the portal and click. Everything is set up for you. The commands below are optional extras, mostly for parents and older players.

What is Build Battle?

For players: a round starts with a theme vote - castle? dragon? pizza? Then everyone teleports to their own plot and has about 8 minutes to build the theme as well (or as hilariously) as they can. When time is up, the group tours every plot and votes - and the best build wins the round.

For parents: Build Battle is the most creative, least competitive-feeling mode we host: no combat at all, just building under a fun time crunch and cheering (or giggling) at each other's creations. It is fantastic for mixed ages - a wobbly build gets as many laughs as a masterpiece gets wows.

How to start playing

1. Open Minecraft (Java or Bedrock) and join your SNT Gaming server.
2. From the lobby, walk into the Build Battle portal.
3. You are placed in the game queue automatically - no menus, no typing.
4. When 2+ players are in, everyone votes on a theme and teleports to their own plot.
5. Build your heart out before the timer ends, then tour the plots and vote. May the best build win!

How Build Battle works

• Theme voting: every round opens with a vote from a huge theme list - or a random surprise if nobody agrees.
• Your own plot: each player builds on a private plot - nobody can touch your masterpiece.
• Creative toolbox: unlimited blocks, plus an options menu with a floor-changer, weather and time settings for your plot, and a huge decoration heads catalog.
• About 8 minutes to build - enough for something great, short enough to stay exciting.
• Voting time: everyone visits every plot and votes from "meh" to "legendary". Highest score wins; plots reset for the next round.

Build Battle command guide

Here is the best part: you do not need any commands to play Build Battle. Walk into the portal, vote with a click, and build - everything is menus and items. These optional commands exist for parents and older players, and they work the same on Java and Bedrock.

You can also right-click the return-to-lobby compass in your hotbar to head back at any time.

Best tips for beginners

• Think big shapes first: block out the silhouette, then add details if time remains.
• Use the floor! The floor-changer instantly sets the mood - lava floor for a volcano, ice for a winter scene.
• Color is king: two or three bold colors read better than twenty muddy ones.
• Add one funny detail - voters remember the build that made them laugh.
• Don't panic-build: a simple, clean build beats an ambitious unfinished one.
• Vote fairly: today's rival is tomorrow's voter.

Better with friends

Build Battle turns your friend group into a game show: the same theme lands completely differently in every head, and touring the plots at the end is pure joy - gasps, laughs, and the eternal "wait, THAT's your pizza?". Because it is friends-only, votes come with commentary and inside jokes. It is the perfect wind-down mode after a sweaty BedWars session, and brilliant for mixed ages.

Notes for parents

Build Battle is entirely combat-free: the whole game is building to a theme and voting on the results. It encourages creativity, planning under light time pressure, and gracious winning and losing - all with your child's own friends on a private whitelist. Joining needs no commands or menus. Troubleshooting

• The round doesn't start: you need at least 2 players in the queue - invite a friend or sibling in.
• I can't build on someone's plot: that's by design - each player's plot is theirs alone.
• I ran out of time mid-build: happens to everyone! Vote round is where unfinished builds earn sympathy points.
• The Build Battle portal doesn't work: stand fully inside it; if nothing happens, type /lobby and try again.
• I can't join the server: check you're on the friends-only whitelist and using the exact Java or Bedrock address from your welcome email.
